Why You Shouldn’t Abandon AC Repairs at the End of the Season

The weather is turning cooler in September, with days in the mid-70s and occasional rain. The air conditioner in your home is probably putting in less work, running with lower frequency. Soon it will shut down for a couple of months during winter, and your heater will take over to handle its share of the annual comfort workload.

But just because your air conditioning in Cliffside Park, NJ is about to go on break doesn’t mean you can ignore possible mechanical or other issues with it. If you have reason to suspect—or you know for certain—that you air conditioning system needs to have professional fixes, don’t put it off until next season. Letting your AC go without prompt repairs is never a good idea, and this is the time of year when you’re most likely to give into the temptation to shrug off any malfunction that isn’t a total breakdown!

What Can Go Wrong with a Clogged HVAC Filter

air-fliter-cuWe make an effort to remind our customers to change the air filter for their HVAC system on a regular basis throughout the year. It’s especially important during the summer, when the AC blower fan does a large amount of labor to circulate cool air around a house. The blower fan draws air through the return ducts, and the dust, lint, hair, and other debris in this air is trapped in the filter to prevent it from causing damage to the interior of the HVAC system. It only takes a few months, sometimes only one, to lead to a fully clogged filter that must be changed for a clean one.
